The purpose of this round table discussion with prominent Doctors of Indore was to introduce them to the DFCA initiative, discuss methods and ways of spreading mass awareness on Air Pollution and its ill-health effects and layout the action plan for DFCA Madhya Pradesh chapter for Year 2020.

  • The meeting was attended by Dr. Salil Bhargava – Clean Air Champion from Indore, Dr. Sunil Mukati, Dr. Ashwin Songara, Dr. Tanay Joshi, Dr. Nikhilesh Pasari , Dr. Amit Joshi, Dr. Sudarshan Gupta, Dr. Dilip Chawda, Dr. Tapan Surana , Dr. Ravi Dosi, Dr. Manoj Bansal and DFCA Team from Delhi.
  • A presentation on inception of DFCA and work undertaken by Doctors associated with DFCA around the country to spread awareness among patients, school and college students, general public and fellow doctors was given by Mrs Matrushri from DFCA Delhi team.
  • The doctors discussed in detail on how Air Pollution has become a National Health Emergency and what are the steps health professionals need to take to be the frontrunners in tackling this issue.
  • A number of research activities were proposed to get more insights on how Air Pollution is affecting the health and well-being of people.
  • Dr. Salil Bhargava and all other doctors present in the meeting proposed the next plan of action for DFCA Madhya Pradesh to engage with doctors, patients, masses, media & the policy makers to spread mass awareness on Air Pollution.
